An AI lab inside the plant. Built in Qatar, for Qatar's energy industry.
Catalyx builds and runs applied-AI labs for operators: a sovereign data foundation, production instruments, and a joint squad of plant engineers and AI scientists, working inside your perimeter from day one.
Not a pilot. Not a slide. A working lab: your engineers, our scientists, your data, one room.
Every operator in Qatar has AI ambitions and a backlog of proofs-of-concept that never reached the control room. A lab is the structure that gets them there: a permanent capability, not a project, with instruments shipping from the first quarter and the operator's own people running it by the end of the first year.
Four blocks.
One lab.
Each block is something Catalyx already ships. A lab is the four of them, installed together, inside one operator.
Foundation
Axiom reconciles PI, SAP and the documents into one verified asset record, deployed on a platform that stays in Qatar. Everything else is built on it.
Instruments
CX Ember, Envelope and Meridian are pre-built for oil & gas. The lab installs the first one on one unit within 90 days and measures it against your baseline.
Squad
Your process, reliability and control engineers, sitting with our scientists and data engineers, working one backlog. Every model decision is made by someone who has held a shift log.
Program
Ninety-day cycles. Each ends at an evidence gate: value shown against your data, or the use case is closed. No pilot lives past its gate.
One unit. One year.
Then it's yours.
The lab is designed to be handed over. Catalyx's role shrinks by design as the operator's grows.
Foundation
- Data residency and security posture agreed
- Axiom run on one unit's historians, SAP and documents
- First instrument live, baseline measured
Squad
- Operator engineers rotate into the lab
- Second instrument, second unit
- Use-case backlog owned by the operator
Handover
- Lab scales across units and sites
- Graduate engineers on a structured track
- Catalyx moves to research partner
Data stays here.
Capability stays here.
A lab that ships models out of the country, or ships expertise back home when the contract ends, is not a lab. It is a vendor.
Data never leaves the perimeter
Deployed on-premise or in a Qatar-region cloud, on your platform. Models train where the data lives. Nothing is sent abroad to be labelled, tuned or hosted.
Every lab trains operator engineers
A structured track for Qatari graduates and experienced plant engineers, with real use cases as the curriculum. In-country value in the sense that matters: capability that remains.
The industry's rules, not ours
ISA-95 and ISA-18.2 for data and alarms, IEC 61511 for safety-instrumented limits, API RP 754 for process-safety metrics, HAZOP lineage on every envelope. Every model explains its conclusion.
What every Catalyx lab commits to.
Evidence over demos
Every cycle ends with a number measured against your baseline, or the use case is closed.
Physics before models
The plant is a physical system first. Models are constrained by mass and energy balances and earn their place.
Every value traces
Any figure the lab produces can be followed back to the tags and documents that produced it.
Built to be handed over
Success is the lab running without us. We write that into the plan on day one.
Start with one unit.
Leave with [ a lab ]
Bring one unit's data and one problem worth solving. We'll bring the foundation, the instruments and the scientists.
